Susan Buroker is a multidisciplinary visual artist living and working on Long Island, NY. She specializes in visual story telling through sculptures and reportage drawings. Buroker's work is consistently focused on her response to history and our natural world. Her works highlight the past, present, and future of the subject whether it be a site specific installation or intimate studio artwork.

Every story, fact or fiction, cannot be truly understood unless you experience the human emotion behind the story. Buroker's mission as an artist is to have people participate in a multi-sensory experience that leads them to an in-depth understanding and appreciation of the vision and message. Buroker utilizes visual, auditory and tactile senses together in various ways to explore concepts and ideas. Each enhance the experience of the viewer. This is her goal for each and every project.

Buroker's work has been shown in solo and group exhibitions throughout the United States. Buroker is a graduate of the Passalacqua School of Drawing, she has received her undergraduate from Parsons School of Design and she is currently a member of the Dalvero Academy and receiving her MFA in Interdisciplinary Art at Goddard College.

Art offers an abundance of opportunities to teach history.
